While the great Gerald Genta is best known for his work in the wristwatch space – designing not only Audemars Piguet's landmark model – the Royal Oak – but also Patek Philippe's Nautilus, and IWC's Ingenieur SL and more, Genta himself longed for a much larger career in product design. Ahighly limited run of eyeglasses made in Japan during the late '70s and early 1980s.
They were produced under the Gérald Genta name, and feature much of the same design language as found in his early and most successful products – the geometric shapes, play with angles and finishes, and of course, his trademark 1970s style.
